Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.
The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 9 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (281) 933-6808. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 474 reviews, which is a strong result for an asian bakery in Houston and suggests consistent service.
Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Best and only bakery to get truly authentic Cantonese egg tarts in all of Texas. Both the flaky crust and the taste of the original Cantonese egg filling combined is a lost art here in Texas. It is labor intensive to make it this way, but these are true Cantonese cowboys in the kitchen. I've made them before, but it was way too much work. If you fled from CA, due to the stolen elections there, you know that this is how Cantonese egg tart is supposed to taste. Made fresh daily too. You can tell that this is the real deal because they have soft and chewy Chicken Tail Baos (i.e. Cantonese coconut filled buns, A.K.A. Cocktail buns) made fresh daily and Wife Cookies (i.e. candied wintermelon filled soft pastry cake). This place is the real deal and the only true authentic Cantonese bakery in all of Texas. And, I've searched all over Austin, Dallas, etc... You won't regret coming here to buy baked goods. The lost culinary talent and taste is only found here in all of Texas. Delicious!

Delicious egg tarts and mango mochi! Egg tarts have a flaky and crispy crust. Mango mochi is very similar to the ones you find in NYC Chinatown bakeries.

ECK Bakery is famous for its egg tart, mango mochi, and more. I tried their egg tart and mango mochi there. Both are delicious. Iβm too excited about the egg tart when I get there. I ate it before I took pictures. Lol! The mango mochi is also very yummy, it is fresh and not sticky. I love it! I bought some glutinous rice cakes (Zong) to take home, and they are so delicious too. I wish I had ECK Bakery in my hometown.

Amazing egg tarts with flakey crust and light texture with a great yellow shine. Next best in my opinion is the curry puff pastries for its intense flavor and flakiness.
